Break-in leads to ‘significant’ discovery at a house in Victoria’s west

A break-in at a home in Alfredton has led to the discovery of a cannabis crop house.
Media advisor Julie-Anne Newman says police were called to the property after neighbours heard loud bangs just after 1 am today.
“Our officers searched the home, found no one home but uncovered significant cannabis set-up, about 100 plants,” she told 3AW Breakfast.
