BREAKING: Ben Carroll announced as new Victorian Premier

Ben Carroll has won a vote by the Labor caucus to become the new Victorian Premier.

This comes after Jacinta Allan announced she would stand down earlier on Tuesday morning.

3AW reporter Stefanie Waclawik was at Parliament house when the news broke.

“Mr Carroll has won a ballot of Labour MPs to become Premier and Gabrielle Williams his deputy,” she said.
