Boy injured in a ‘knife incident’ at school in Melbourne’s south-east

An eight-year-old boy has been injured following a knife incident at a school in Berwick on Thursday morning.

Two schools were placed into lockdown following the incident, which occurred at about 9am.

It is understood that an 11-year-old boy was questioned by police over the incident.

A woman also suffered minor injuries, and the boy has been treated for ‘non-life-threatening’ injuries.
