Husband Borce charged with murdering wife Karen Ristevski

Police have charged Borce Ristevski with murdering his wife Karen Ristevski.

Borce, 53, was arrested by detectives from the Missing Persons Squad about 7.20am Wednesday morning.

He appeared at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on one count of murder.

Rob Stary, lawyer for Borce, indicated his client will plead not guilty.

Mr Ristevski says he has spoken with his lawyer. He’s told hand up brief due on March 7 ahead of committal mention on 18 April.

Ms Ristevski went missing from her family’s Avondale Heights Oakley Drive home on the morning of June 29 last year.

Her remains were discovered in the Macedon area on 20 February, 2017.
