Seb Kennett arrested, charged over alleged Oakleigh hit-run
Police have arrested and charged wanted man Sebastian Kennett over the fatal Oakleigh hit-run, ending a three-day man hunt.
Kennett, 20, was arrested in Blackburn South on Thursday evening.
Two other men were also arrested at the Fulton Road property.
Police interviewed all three men.
Kennett was later charged on several counts, including:
- culpable driving
- dangerous driving causing death
- failing to stop after a collision with a fatality
- fail to render assistance after fatal collision
- theft of motor vehicle
- driving while disqualified
He will face court on Monday.
Meanwhile, the men found with Kennett last night were charged late on Friday morning.
A Glen Waverley man, 21, has been charged with harbouring a known offender, theft of a motor vehicle, drug possession and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
A Blackburn South man, 26, has been charged with harbouring a known offender, weapons offences and outstanding warrants.
Both will appear in Ringwood Magistrates’ Court later today.
A warrant was issued for Kennett’s arrest Wednesday following a fatal crash that claimed nurse Lynda Hansen’s life late on Monday night.
