Victoria Police have confirmed they’re investigating after the woman stopped breathing, and suffered a cardiac arrest, at a Fraser Street alternative health service called the Soul Barn.
Crime reporter at The Age, Marta Pascual Juanola, who broke the story, says investigators aren’t sure if the mushroom drink is responsible for the woman’s death.
“It’s suspected to be a mushroom-based drink, but no other substances have been ruled out yet,” she told Jacqui Felgate.
The woman died at the scene.
