Brendan Nottle calls for ‘creative’ thinking on Mickleham quarantine facility
Major Brendan Nottle says the Mickleham quarantine facility should be utilised to help the vulnerable in the community.
Victoria’s $580 million purpose-built quarantine facility will close next week after just eight months of operation.
The Salvation Army’s Major Nottle says the facility could be utilised to help vulnerable people in the community.
“We need to think creatively about Mickleham,” he told Neil Mitchell.
“The reality is there’s a group of people that are still in the city and they’re spreading out … and they’re really, really vulnerable. They’ve fallen through the gaps.”
