Brighton East carjacking victim left shocked, distressed after terrifying ordeal
A distressed and shaken woman who was threatened with a pair of scissors in a terrifying carjacking in Brighton East says she is in shock.
Anna, 49, was in her car waiting at Landcox Park at Brighton East when she was approached by a man.
She said she’s recovering but traumatised.
‘Before I could think he opened the door really forcefully, he had a pair of scissors at my head, and said very loudly get out of the car,’ she told Tony Jones on 3AW Mornings.
‘He pulled me physically out of the car and I must have instinctively tried to protect my head, and I grabbed the scissors from him.’
He then drove off in her car, a silver 2007 Toyota Camry sedan.
She said she felt violated and incredibly upset after the ordeal.
The man involved is described as being perceived to be African in appearance, about 185cm tall and spoke English well.
At the time he was wearing tracksuit pants, a blue top with black print, light coloured runners and a cap.
The registration of the stolen vehicle is UYZ 360.
