Brisbane Lions coach Justin Leppitsch’s cheeky ‘present’ for Charlie Dixon

Brisbane coach Justin Leppitsch made a cheeky play for Gold Coast Suns forward Charlie Dixon, 3AW newsbreaker Sam ‘Scoop’ McClure has revealed.

Dixon, who looks destined to make the move to Port Adelaide this summer, had also been linked with a possible move to the Lions.

Dixon was suspended for one game by the Suns in May after it was revealed he and teammate Jack Martin drank a bottle of red wine in their hotel room the night before a game.

Scoop revealed Leppitsch had a cheeky gift for Dixon when he arrived at his house for a chat – a bottle of red.

‘It’s fair to say Charlie was very much amused,’ McClure said on Sports Today.
