Brisbane Lions general manager on Brownlow medalist Lachie Neale and Collingwood’s lineup

The general manager at Brisbane Lions has discussed midfielder Lachie Neale winning his second brownlow on Monday and the release of Collingwood’s line-up ahead of the grand final.

Danny Daly, says they didn’t expect Neale to win the brownlow.

“We thought he’d poll well,” he told Sam McClure and Matthew Richardson.

He also says football teams don’t “really play tricks anymore”.

“I think that’s the way in footy now … we sort of half expected it was going to happen anyways, it’s nice to know a bit earlier I suppose,” he said.
