Broken glass falls 13 storeys onto city footpath

A pane of glass has shattered and fallen 13 storeys onto a CBD footpath, luckily missing pedestrians.

Caller Julie said she was driving past the corner of A’Beckett and William streets in the city and noticed the broken glass and police presence.

“There’s a lot of glass,” Julie said.

“It’s a lot and they’ve got blue and white tape, taping it off.”

Firefighter Danny then called in and told Tom the area is now secure and no one was injured.
