Bryce Gibbs says Brendon Bolton made his mark pretty early at Carlton

Sportsday

Carlton star Bryce Gibbs says he knew pretty quickly Brendon Bolton was going to be a good coach.

The Blues have enjoyed a more than promising start under their new coach, winning 50 per cent of their first 12 games.

Gibbs, who plays game 200 this week, told 3AW it didn’t take long for Bolton to make his mark on the playing group.

‘It was probably meeting him for the first time before we went away,’ the midfielder told Sports Today.

‘He caught up with every player on the list at the time and outlined his expectations and what he thought.

‘He definitely expressed he wasn’t here to take time.

‘He wanted to get things rolling from day one.’
