‘Building for some time’: The escalating conflict between Israel and Iran unpacked

Australia’s Ambassador to Israel between 2013 and 2017, Dave Sharma, has unpacked the latest on the rising tensions between Israel and Iran in recent days.

Conflict between the two countries has escalated following Israel’s attack on multiple sites in Tehran last Friday, and Mr Sharma said the crisis has been “building for some time”.

“I think Israeli’s are united in seeing Iran as an existential threat that needed to be dealt with,” Mr Sharma told Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings.
