Bulldogs confident the sale of Etihad will give them a better stadium deal
The Western Bulldogs are confident the sale of Etihad Stadium will give them a better deal for home games.
The AFL bought the stadium on Friday for a reported figure for $150-200 million.
It is expected to result in tenants St Kilda, Western Bulldogs, Carlton, Essendon, and North Melbourne landing much better deals.
Bulldogs president Peter Gordon told Tom Elliott the AFL has an interest in improving them.
‘They have a keener interest than ever in clubs being strong,’ he said.
‘One of the key reasons that they haven’t has been this stadium inequity.’
