The flies and insects are expected to be out in full force over summer.

Justin and Kate spoke with Bryce Peters, urban entomologist from the University of Technology Sydney who says it’s all due to westerly winds blowing the bush flies in the city.

‘They’re after secretion like sweat, that’s why they hang around your face and on your back, that’s why they genuinely drive you demented!’ says Bryce.

Justin says, as the son of dairy farmer, ‘This is nothing!’

Mr Peters tells 3AW Breakfast they test some insect repellents on a dairy farm at Dalby in QLD, ‘The flies there are just amazing!’

Unfortunately for all of us, all insects do better in the heat.
