Bus full of school kids avoids disaster outside of Little River
A quick-thinking bus driver, transporting a group of school children on an excursion, has narrowly avoided a head on crash on Geelong Road.
Caller Rob, who has been driving buses for 15 years, rang Neil Mitchell to warn drivers of possible delays following his near miss outside of Little River.
He said the bus swerved across the road after the front right tyre gave way but he managed to manoeuvre the vehicle off the freeway, narrowly avoiding a truck.
‘All the kids are all right, they’re on the side of the road,’ Rob said.
‘The police officers are playing with them.’
‘It’s been a bit of an adventure for them, actually.’
