Busiest day yet for Melbourne Airport as holiday-makers jet off

Melbourne Airport is predicting one of its busiest days since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

It’s estimated 100,000 travellers will move through the airport today.

Melbourne Airport spokesperson Andrew Lund says it’s a particularly busy day.

“Today we are expecting 100,000 passengers through the terminals which is the first really busy day of what’s going to be a busy few weeks, and indeed a busy couple of months for us here at Melbourne Airport,” he told Tony Jones, filling in on 3AW Mornings.
