Busted escalator causes several trains to skip Southern Cross Station during morning peak
A faulty escalator that was blamed for trains by-passing Southern Cross Station during peak hour on Wednesday still hasn’t been fixed.
3AW Mornings was alerted to the problem on Wednesday morning.
Metro said eight services had skipped Southern Cross Station.
They said it was a safety decision.
Metro confirmed on Thursday the issue still had not been resolved.
Trains are again skipping Southern Cross Station this morning due to congestion issues on platforms 9 and 10.
