Buyers overseas snap up land in North Geelong
International and interstate buyers are investing in Victoria hoping to beat the property boom.
One in five properties in Corio and Norlane are being snapped up by international and interstate buyers.
With some land up to 1000 square metres, it is estimated around $20 million worth has been sold in the past year.
Not so much a new phenomenon, Ivan Fantela, a Real Estate agent from Harcourts North Geelong says the internet has made property a world market.
‘It’s quite easy to buy anything you see around the world’ Fantela told Ross and John.
One of the main problems he has come across is dealing with international clients who do not speak english.
