Calls for outdoor dining reform as businesses take aim at council
There are calls for councils to make outside dining easier for cafes and restaurants.
The concept exploded after the arrival of COVID, with incentives for businesses to set up dining options on the footpaths and outside.

But many businesses say it’s become too cost prohibitive.
“The councils definitely need a more consistent approach, so it is fair and even across the state,” Wes Lambert, the former CEO Restaurant and Catering Australia, told Neil Mitchell.
