Calls for swift action after dozens of horses starved on Mornington Peninsula

An Animal Justice Party MP has called on authorities to act swiftly following the alleged neglect of up to 40 horses on the Mornington Peninsula.

3AW Drive was sent images of the horses, which clearly show how malnourished the animals are.

Georgie Purcell told Jacqui Felgate something had to be done following the revelations in recent days.

“We need to ensure that these animals can live,” she said on 3AW.

“These horses are severely emaciated, we think there might be a breeding problem.”
