Current immigration and visa laws in the country has been labelled “broken” and has allowed organised crime and human trafficking to thrive and go unpunished.

Investigate journalist with The Age, Nick McKenzie, has called for the federal government to release former Victoria Police chief commissioner Christine Nixon’s inquiry, which calls for a whole range of sensible changes to the immigration and visa laws in the country.

“Without accountability, there’s going to be no proper change,” Mr McKenzie told Ross and Russel.
