Calls for trucks made before 2003 to be taken off the roads

There are calls for trucks made before 2003 to be taken off Australian roads due to the pollution they create.

Damian Smethurst from PACCAR told Tom Elliott it was true the older models were more damaging for the environment, but it “wasn’t that simplistic” to take so many vehicles off the road immediately.

“I’m not sure that’s the only solution,” he said.
