Calls to ban controversial speakers from Australia

There are calls to ban controversial speakers Gavin McInnes and Tommy Robinson from entering Australia, with claims it could “incite” terrorism.

Dr Joshua Roose is the director of the Institute for Religion, Politics and Society at the Australian Catholic Univeristy and is among those wanting them stopped from entering the country.

However, Tom Elliott says it’s vital to uphold the right to free speech in Australia.

“As long as they aren’t breaking the law, they should be able to speak,” he said.

Tom and Dr Roose clashed over the matter on Wednesday.
