Calls to close ‘gender gap’ in Australia’s media

There are calls for more female voices in the media, with research finding just 30 per cent of sources and experts quoted in stories are women.

A gender equality advocate told Tom Elliott sport, finance and politics had particularly large male leanings.

“It did surprise me a little bit, because it is quite an imbalance,” Catherine Fox said on 3AW Drive.
