Cancer Council calls for junk food advertising ‘buffer’ near schools and on public transport
Troubling new research has found Victorian kids are being hit with at least 25 unhealthy food an drink commercials every single day.
It’s led to calls for reform.
The Cancer Council wants a 500 metre buffer within schools and on public transport.
“We need to change the environment,” Cancer Council CEO Todd Harper told Ross and Russel.
Mr Harper said it was critical to ensure children created healthy eating habits early to help with their health later in life.
