Cancer crusader uses King’s Birthday honour to share important message

The Executive Director of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre has been recognised with a King’s Birthday honour and used his platform to “call out blokes” on getting their skin checked.

Professor Grant McArthur (AO) told 3AW more than 80 per cent of men had not had their skin checked in the past year.

“That’s concerning, because prevention is better than cure, I can tell you, when it comes to cancer and melanoma,” he said.
