Car bursts into flames after crash with motorbike on Monash Freeway

There have been dramatic scenes on the Monash Freeway, with a car bursting into flames.

The blaze happened after the vehicle collided with a motorbike on the freeway outbound at Mulgrave.

Remarkably, it appears nobody has suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the car escaped unhurt, with the rider being treated for minor injuries.

The Monash was closed in both directions shortly after 4pm on Friday.

Lanes have since been re-opened.
