A driver has escaped injury after smashing into the front of a house in Thornbury.

The driver of a green sedan  clipped a truck approaching a bend on Station Street about 5.30am.

He’s went through a fence and come to rest against a unit.

“It’s amazing no one was injured,” 3AW police reporter Pat Mitchell told Ross and John this morning.

The resident inside, while shocked, was also uninjured.

Police remain on scene investigating whether the driver of the car or the driver of the truck was to blame.

“There’s a bit of ‘he-said he-said’ going on at the moment,” Pat Mitchell said.
