Car plows through Carrum Downs bus stop, putting multiple pedestrians in hospital

A car has lost control on Frankston-Dandenong Road in Carrum Downs just after 3pm, crashing into a bus stop and hitting two pedestrians.

Caller Adam spoke to Tom Elliott on what he saw, with Tom Elliott later reading out a statement from Victoria Police.

The pedestrians were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The male driver was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of a second vehicle was also arrested at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

It’s alleged both cars were being driven erratically just prior to the collision.
