Car rams police car at Sunshine

Two people are in custody after a car with allegedly stolen plates rammed a police car before smashing into a Sunshine hotel.

Police pulled up behind a parked car outside the hotel on McIntyre Road in the early hours of Monday morning.

When the officer went to speak to the driver, the vehicle reversed, narrowly missing him and hitting the police car.

The driver attempted to drive off but instead hit the front of the hotel and became stuck next to a pole.

A 21-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man have been questioned by police.
