Car slams into pole, narrowly missing South Melbourne pub

A car has slammed into a light pole outside a South Melbourne pub.

It narrowly missed tables and chairs outside the Golden Gate Hotel.

The incident happened on the corner of Coventry and Clarendon streets on Thursday afternoon.

Remarkably, nobody – including the driver – appear to have been hurt.
