Car spotted doing burnouts and driving erratically before being torched

A car spotted doing burnouts in Melbourne’s west has been found torched at Truganina.

There were dramatic scenes on Thursday morning, with reports of police activity in the chopper over Hoppers Crossing.

But it turned out to be a traffic chopper filming the driver behaving extremely erratically.

Then a second 3AW Breakfast rang to ask why there was smoke in the air.

The car had been burned out.
