Car thefts from gyms on the rise in Melbourne’s south east

Thefts from gyms are on the rise around Melbourne with one man reporting his car was stolen after someone went through his pigeon hole at a gym in Oakleigh.

Michael says he’s been told offenders are increasingly targeting gyms in the south-east.

“Only to find my keys were missing, [I] went outside only to find the car was no longer there,” he told Jacqui Felgate.

He also said his insurance company told him the last ten claims they had received had been related to stolen cars from the gym.
