Carlton young gun Jacob Weitering on contract extension rumours

Carlton’s Jacob Weitering has shied away from talking about a potential contract extension with Carlton.

The 18-year-old has had a cracking start to the year and his performance last week earned him the Round 3 NAB Rising Star nomination.

Weitering said he was loving his time with the club, but when quizzed about murmurs of a contract extension with the Blues, remained tight-lipped.

‘Look, I won’t confirm that,’ Weitering told Gerard and Dwayne on 3AW.

‘I’m only three games into my career and that’s all I’ll be worrying about for now.

‘The Carlton footy club’s been bloody good to me so far.’
