Caro expecting mention in Swan’s book

Caroline Wilson is expecting a mention in Dane Swan’s book, which will be released in October.

Caro explained a time where Swan wasn’t too happy with a phone call she made to the Pies, regarding Marley Williams potentially going on a trip away with Swan and Dustin Martin.

Following that phone call, Caro suspects it was suggested to Williams by the club to not go on the trip.

‘I think Marley Williams lost his deposit on his airfare.’

At his retirement press conference today, Swan spoke about his relationship with the media. At times throughout his career he was the subject of articles written by Caroline Wilson.

‘I probably wouldn’t have been one of his favourite journos,’ she said.

Swan retires as a great of the Collingwood Football Club, having won a Brownlow medal, premiership and is a 5 time All-Australian.
