Caroline Wilson clips Essendon over Kevin Sheedy ‘announcement’

Essendon has been called into question by Caroline Wilson over its ‘silly’ decision to announce club legend Kevin Sheedy would help in the club’s quest for a coach, just a day after leaving him off a five-person sub-committee.

The Bombers revealed on Monday they had appointed their panel to find the club’s replacement for James Hird. Sheedy wasn’t on it.

On Tuesday, the club then announced it would ‘seek advice’ from Sheedy.

Caroline Wilson said the Bombers had shot themselves in the foot.

‘Nobody was surprised he wasn’t on it, nobody expected him to be on it,’ she said on Sports Today.
