Caroline Wilson has taken aim at the ‘hero’ who filmed Jesse Hogan smoking last week and sent it to a media outlet.

The young Melbourne forward copped plenty of heat last week after footage surfaced of him smoking a cigarette at a music festival while serving a suspension.

Demons coach Simon Goodwin told 3AW Football on Saturday the talented young forward was back home in Perth for family reasons.

While not defending Hogan’s decision to smoke, Wilson said she was sad somebody felt the need to ‘dob’ the Demon in.

‘Why are these heroes with mobile phones so determined to be dibber dobbers in modern society?’ Wilson said on 3AW Football.
