Caroline Wilson on the ‘interesting’ aspect to Dustin Martin’s contract negotiations with Richmond

Caroline Wilson says Richmond may have a fight on its hands to keep midfield star Dustin Martin.

It’s been reported the Tiger gun has put contract talks on hold.

And while that’s increasingly becoming ‘standard procedure’ in the day and age of free agency, Wilson said she found one aspect of the story particularly interesting.

Ralph Carr is still Martin’s manager.

‘Richmond have talked for a long time that Martin would change management,’ Caroline Wilson explained on 3AW’s Sportsday.

‘That never happened.

‘The fact that Dustin has held on to this manager says a lot to me.

‘That’s interesting.

‘It says he might be more likely to leave, than not.’
