Caroline Wilson savages Gillon McLachlan over Grand Final scheduling
Caroline Wilson has launched a scathing attack on the AFL over the Grand Final fixturing.
The AFL is still yet to confirm whether this year’s Grand Final will break from the traditional timeslot of 2.30pm.
Wilson said AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan has been ‘flippant’ when discussing the timing of the game’s showcase match in the media.
‘To me, it shows a lack of understanding of how much supporters love the game,’ Wilson said.
‘One of the great standing points of our game is certainty of fixture.
‘And yet we’re halfway through Round 1 and we still don’t know what time our Grand Final’s going to be. Not good enough.’
