Caroline Wilson says Mitch Clark unlikely to be at Geelong next year

Sportsday

Caroline Wilson believes Geelong will part ways with Mitch Clark at the end of the season.

Clark was in hot water after being called out for a disgusting sledge at an opponent in the VFL.

The opponent’s sister is the partner of Clark’s teammate Mitch Duncan.

Wilson said Clark’s relationship with his teammates has reached breaking point.

‘I don’t think there’s a big chance Mitch Clark is going to be there next year,’ Wilson said on 3AW Saturday Football.

‘I just can’t see him surviving here.’

She said senior club officials were shocked to when they learnt about the incident.

‘They didn’t know about it until we contacted them, and they weren’t happy,’ Wilson said.

Wilson said Clark’s excuse that he was provoked was ‘a bit lame’.
