Caroline Wilson says she’d be ‘amazed’ if Alastair Clarkson left Hawthorn for another club

Caroline Wilson says she’d be amazed if Alastair Clarkson left Hawthorn to coach another club.

Questions have been asked following the Hawks’ poor start to the season.

Some have even suggested Clarkson may look to move elsewhere if the poor form continued.

But Wilson said she can’t see it happening.

‘I think you’d have to say he’s one of the best coaches the game has ever seen,’ Wilson said on Sportsday.

‘I’d be amazed if they let him go and he’s an incredibly loyal person.

‘It might fall apart after next year, but after he’s made all these moves and moved heaven and earth and traded away so many early draft picks to get Jaeger O’Meara, I think it’d be pretty weird if he walked away.’
