Caroline Wilson shares her thoughts on Richmond, Alastair Clarkson’s coaching contract and Garry Lyon

Caroline Wilson returned to Sports Today this week and, as usual, there was plenty to talk about.

The Age’s chief football writer spoke about her expectations for Richmond this year, as well as the details surrounding Alastair Clarkson’s contract extension as coach of Hawthorn.

She also shared her thoughts on the scandal which has dominated headlines this week.

‘Some of the stuff we’re hearing about his mental condition and emotional condition, I can now look back on in hindsight and say it all makes sense,’ Wilson said about her Footy Classified co-host Garry Lyon.

‘I don’t think it’s a brand protection exercise.’
