Casual workers earn new rights under workplace reforms

Casual workers who have been with the same employer for a year and doing regular shifts must be offered permanent employment under the federal government’s new workplace reforms.

But unions say they’re “worried about the detail” within those reforms.

“There are some really big holes in it,” Michele O’Neil, President of the ACTU, told Tom Elliott.
