Casual workers have landmark win at Fair Work Commission
Casual workers will be given the chance to make their positions permanent after a year following a landmark decision from the Fair Work Commission.
Wil Stracke, industrial campaigns offer for Victorian Trades Hall Council, told 3AW Drive it could only be a good thing.
“As much as the entitlements that you get, it gives workers some sense of security,” she explained.
“It’s just not right in a country like ours that there is huge proportion of workers who don’t get access to some of those basic things like sick leave, annual leave and that sense of security.”
