New Geelong recruit Patrick Dangerfield is settling into Victorian coastal life after returning from the International Rules tour.

Following his first day training with the Cats, Dangerfield said he was already enjoying his time with his new team.

The former Adelaide player took a break from surfing to speak to Sports Today’s Dwayne Russell on Wednesday evening.

The 25-year-old has just returned from the International Rules tour, and said it was a ‘wonderful’ learning experience.

Dangerfield also said he was surprised the Talia investigation, which was put to bed by the AFL today, had gone so far.

‘I would have thought if it was anything beneficial the whole team would have known about it – and I certainly didn’t.’

‘From where I’m standing, I don’t think there’s anything in it at all.’
