CBD parking spots to be revealed in real-time

City motorists will be able to check which on street car spaces are available with Melbourne City Council revealing real time data on vacant parks.

As reported in The Herald Sun, Acting Lord Mayor Arron Wood told Ross and John the data will be revealed on all 4300 parking spaces with sensors.

“So you’ll be driving around the city and you’ll know which parks are available,” he said.

“Some of the big manufacturers like Audi and BMW are looking at incorporating this data actually into the car.”
