CCTV: Cash and clothes taken in brazen Carlton ram-raid
Police are hunting two men who ram-raided a Carlton clothing store and took off with the cash register.
Police believe two men were in the Mazda sedan when it was reversed through the front door of the Elgin Street store about 4am yesterday.
Video footage shows the passenger then getting out in the pouring rain and running into the building.
The cash register, containing a small amount of money, was removed and shirts and suits were also stolen.
Both men took off in the car, heading east on Elgin Street.
Several cars passed the brazen ram-raid as it unfolded.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is being urged to call Crime Stoppers.
