CCTV: Man threatens staff with hammer in Clayton South attempted robbery
A man has produced a hammer and made demands for cash before fleeing empty handed in an attempted robbery of a Clayton South business last month.
The man wearing a balaclava entered the business on Graham Road just after 5pm on Tuesday 7 August.
He approached a staff member and threatened him with a hammer before making demands for cash.
The victim advised there was no money in the till and the man fled the scene empty-handed.
No one was injured during the incident.
It is believed the offender ran to a silver Subaru Impreza waiting nearby.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 175cm tall and was wearing a high visibility blue and green long sleeve shirt.
