CFA rescue tabby cat from tree at Mt Eliza
Merlot the cat has been rescued after an eight hour ordeal stuck up a tree on the Mornington Peninsula.
Mt Eliza Fire Brigade received a call to a home on Quinns Parade on Tuesday where they found Merlot, the adventurous orange tabby, stuck up the three metre tall tree.
It is believed he became stuck after jumping from the roof of the home and then he refused to come down.
The rescue was quick, crews managed to bring him down within five minutes.
Merlot’s owner was very happy and relieved that the tabby cat had all four paws safely on the ground.
